EAGLEGATE is a boutique Intellectual Property, Information and Communications Technology and Information Security law firm. Our goal is to provide fresh, modern and agile solutions to client's legal needs. Our clients are our focus. We aim to create deep relationships with clients to fully understand our client's goals and objectives. We identify completely the legal issues in our client's businesses, to partner with clients and to and provide tailored solutions - both practical and cost effective. This provides value to our clients in a manner distinctly different to other law firms. EAGLEGATE is one of the few law firms in Australia that has a director with a background and experience in information security both from a practical information technology (IT) perspective and a legal perspective.
Nicole has broad experience in the information, communications and technology sectors and has represented some of the world’s largest software, clothing, mining, food production and technology companies in all aspects of their intellectual property. She has degrees in Law (1st Class Honours) and Electrical Engineering, hold a Masters of Industrial Property and is a registered Australian Trade Marks Attorney. Before entering the law Nicole worked in the IT industry for 10 years which allows her to take into account the wider practical impact on her client’s business. She acts in complex litigation matters, conducts Anton Piller searches to protect and seize confidential information, negotiates licensing agreements to commercialise intellectual property and has performed intellectual property due diligences relating to the acquisition of software/assets worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Nicole is a Director of the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) Ltd. and a member of the QLS Cybersecurity working group.
