As a barrister Judith has been briefed on a wide range of State and Commonwealth criminal cases, including trials at all levels and appeals including the High Court of Australia. She is qualified in science and law: her science training and current studies giving her a special interest and expertise in many aspects of forensic science.
Her first love is criminal law, both for the human interest and for the fact that every day brings something new and exciting. The highlight for her is jury and Magistrates’ Court advocacy: the art of persuading the decision-maker that this person is different and deserves the benefit of the doubt, or the clemency the “system” can show.
