Document Overview
Governance Standard 4, provided by the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission, requires charities to take reasonable steps to satisfy themselves that prospective responsible persons are not disqualified either from managing a corporation under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) or from being a Responsible Person by the ACNC Commissioner within the previous 12 months. The organisation should obtain such a declaration from prospective responsible persons when vetting them for appointment.
