Peter is the principle of Patrick Cash & Associates. He has been practising law since 1967 and joined the firm as a partner in 1970, managing the then Carlton office. In 1981 when another partner left the firm the Carlton office was closed and Peter transferred to the Footscray office, then situated as the old State Savings Bank Chambers on the corner of Nicholson and Irving Streets. Peter's remaining partner, Patrick Cash (the father of the well-known tennis player), retired in 1998 and Peter took over the firm. We moved to our present premises in December 2011.
Peter has exceptional experience and expertise in family law, personal injury compensation and litigation. For a record-breaking 9 years he was president of the Western Suburbs Law Association affiliated with the Law Institute of Victoria Peter is the holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Melbourne and as well as being a member of the Western Suburbs Law Association he is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, and its family law, employment law and litigation sections and a member of the family law section of the Law Council of Australia.
